Central/Eastern European Regional Pax Christi Consultation.

ll Pax Christi Member Organisations from Central and Eastern Europe are invited to attend the “Central/Eastern European Regional Pax Christi Consultation” taking place 27th – 29th April 2011 in Vukovar, Croatia. The Consultation will be followed by meetings of the Executive Committee.

The purpose of the Consultation is to enhance cooperation among the Central and Eastern European Member Organisations, to discuss the challenges for peace and security in the region and to explore the further strengthening of the Pax Christi network, based on the needs of the Central and Eastern European Member Organisations.

Discussions will be linked with the Strategic Framework 2011-2013, adopted by the international Pax Christi movement in its World Assembly in May 2010.

In Vukovar, next to an introductory meeting, sessions will be organised on topics such as: (1) religion and violent extremism; (2) ecology, justice and peace (eco-justice); (3) peace spirituality; and (4) towards restorative justice and reconciliation.
